Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Releases PM Modi’s Urdu Speeches Book

New Delhi: Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, on 5 January 2026 released the Urdu compilation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speeches titled “Khutbat-e-Modi: Lal Qila Ki Faseel Se”. The book brings together addresses delivered by the Prime Minister from the Red Fort between 2014 and 2025, making key national messages accessible to Urdu readers across India.

Promoting Linguistic Inclusion

Published by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, the book reflects India’s commitment to linguistic inclusivity. Speaking at the event, Shri Pradhan highlighted that the publication strengthens the connection between citizens and the Prime Minister’s developmental vision.

He added that the speeches in “Khutbat-e-Modi” emphasize initiatives such as Antyodaya for uplifting the last person, welfare of the poor, Swachh Bharat Mission, national unity, and the aspirations of 140 crore Indians, encapsulating the transformative journey of New India.

Encouraging Public Engagement

Shri Pradhan noted that Urdu publications of this nature serve as a medium to engage students, scholars, and citizens in a meaningful dialogue about India’s developmental priorities and vision. He expressed hope that the book would find a place in libraries nationwide, enhancing public access to the Prime Minister’s speeches and thought leadership.

The Education Minister also urged NCPUL to take proactive initiatives to publish works related to India’s heritage, culture, lifestyle, and knowledge traditions in Urdu. He congratulated the council for this endeavor and wished them success in future projects.

Event Highlights

The release event was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education; Padma Shri Chamu Krishna Shastry, Chairman of Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti; Dr. Shams Iqbal, Director of NCPUL; Prof. Naima Khatoon, Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University; Dr. Shahid Akhtar, Chairman, NCMEI; and other senior officials from the Ministry of Education.

Through this publication, the government reinforces its commitment to bridging linguistic divides and promoting awareness of India’s progress and initiatives. “Khutbat-e-Modi” not only documents the Prime Minister’s vision but also provides a platform for Urdu-speaking citizens to engage with national development narratives.
