Engaging Farmers and Villagers in Moga
Shri Chouhan will arrive in Amritsar on the night of November 26 and proceed to Ransih Kalan village in Moga district. Recognized for its eco-sensitive practices and strong community participation, the village will provide a platform for the Minister to discuss sustainable agriculture, crop diversification, income enhancement, and environmental conservation with local farmers and residents.
MGNREGA Beneficiaries and Rural Development Initiatives
After Moga, Shri Chouhan will visit K.L. Saigal Memorial Hall in Jalandhar to meet MGNREGA beneficiaries. The discussion will focus on employment generation, livelihood security, and the creation of rural infrastructure under MGNREGA and other development programs.
Review Meeting with Officials
Shri Chouhan will chair a review meeting at the District Administrative Complex in Jalandhar, assessing the progress of rural development schemes including housing, roads, self-help groups, and skill development initiatives. Strategies for improving implementation and coordination between central and state programs will be discussed.
Visit to Central Potato Research Institute
The Union Minister will also visit the ICAR–Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI) in Badshahpur, Jalandhar. Here, he will meet farmers and scientists to discuss the institute’s role in providing high-quality potato seeds, advanced crop varieties, and technical training aimed at increasing farmers’ income and productivity.

Through this visit, Shri Chouhan aims to ensure that agricultural and rural policies are aligned with local needs. His engagement emphasizes participatory planning, inclusivity, and sustainability, fostering a stronger, self-reliant rural economy across Punjab and India.
