SPNIWCD Launches Website, Boosts Digital Governance

 

New Delhi, August 30, 2025: The Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development (SPNIWCD), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, launched its official website www.spniwcd.wcd.gov.in. The move marks a significant step in strengthening digital governance and supporting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a Digital India and Viksit Bharat@2047.

Empowering Through Digitalisation

Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Annpurna Devi, inaugurated the website. She highlighted that the initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to using technology as a driver of empowerment for women and children. She noted that digitalisation ensures transparency, accessibility, and inclusivity in delivering services and training resources.

Minister Devi further added that the portal will serve as a hub for knowledge-sharing, research dissemination, and policy support. The launch aligns with the Prime Minister’s call for citizen-centric governance powered by technology.

Key Features of the SPNIWCD Portal

  • E-Learning Modules: Self-paced training for skill development and professional growth.
  • E-Archive & Digital Library: Secure storage and quick access to documents, research, and learning materials.
  • Real-Time Dashboard: Live updates on training programmes, schemes, and institutional activities.
  • Online Services: Registration and appointment system for the Child Guidance Centre (CGC), Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling (AGSC), and other initiatives.
  • Interactive Feedback: A channel for users to share suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Comprehensive Repository: Resources on Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, Mission Saksham Anganwadi, and Poshan 2.0.

Strengthening Women and Child Welfare

The website also provides focused sections on women’s safety, child protection, nutrition, and empowerment. By hosting statistical data and programme updates, the portal ensures informed policy-making and accessible resources for professionals, researchers, and citizens.

This initiative supports ongoing government programmes like Mission Shakti and Mission Vatsalya, which focus on holistic development and welfare. It also complements Poshan Abhiyaan, India’s flagship nutrition mission.
