Access to Question Papers and Answers
For the first time, candidates can view their own question papers along with responses and correct answers. This facilitates evidence-based challenges to answer keys and allows aspirants to retain copies for personal study. To ensure exam confidentiality, these disclosures are restricted during ongoing multi-shift exams. SSC will also release selected past question papers periodically, offering authentic study material while safeguarding upcoming tests.
Reduced Challenge Fee and Helpline Launch
In a candidate-friendly move, SSC has cut the fee for challenging answers from ₹100 to ₹50 per question. Additionally, an online grievance portal complements the existing toll-free helpline (1800-309-3063), enabling faster resolution of candidate concerns and queries.
Fairness Through Normalization
The commission has introduced equi-percentile normalization to ensure consistent results across multiple exam shifts. This method compares percentile scores rather than raw marks, addressing any variations in question difficulty. It ensures a level playing field for all aspirants, regardless of exam timing.
Enhanced Security and Integrity
SSC has strengthened exam security using Aadhaar-based authentication to prevent impersonation and repeated attempts. Question papers are transmitted via secure digital vaults, while IT agencies help safeguard against hacking. Exam monitoring has been intensified, and strict action is being taken against centres or candidates violating rules.
Recent Exam and Upcoming Schedule
During the Tier-I CGLE 2025, approximately 13.5 lakh candidates appeared across 126 cities and 255 centres. Technical issues at select centres have prompted re-examinations on October 14, with affected candidates notified individually. Question challenge submissions will open on October 15.
Upcoming exams from October 2025 to March 2026 include CHSLE, MTS, Junior Engineer, Constable and Sub-Inspector (Delhi Police & CAPFs), and technical cadre exams. Officials noted that the reforms will maintain fairness and efficiency throughout the examination cycle.

SSC has launched its official X handle (@SSC_GoI) to enhance direct communication with aspirants. The commission urged candidates to rely solely on verified updates, discouraging circulation of misinformation on social media.
