The 4th Sushasan Saptah 2024 and the nationwide campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” concluded successfully, marking a significant milestone in India’s journey towards citizen-centric governance. The campaign, held from December 19 to 25, 2024, covered over 700 districts across the country, bringing governance and services directly to rural areas.
In his message, Hon’ble Prime Minister stated, “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore is not merely a slogan but a transformational effort aimed at bringing effective governance closer to the rural people.”
Key Achievements of the Campaign:
- 51,618 camps were organized at tehsil, sub-division, and district levels.
- 2,99,64,200 service delivery applications were disposed of.
- 18,28,958 grievances were addressed on the CPGRAMS and state grievance portals.
- 1,167 innovative governance practices were documented.
- 272 ‘District Vision @100’ documents were prepared.
Campaign Highlights
The campaign focused on resolving public grievances, expediting service delivery applications, documenting good governance practices, and preparing District Vision @100 documents. It represented India’s largest people-centric initiative for good governance and doorstep service delivery.
District Collectors organized special camps at tehsil headquarters and panchayat samitis to address public grievances and improve service delivery. The campaign was monitored in real time through a dedicated dashboard on the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ portal.
Workshops on good governance practices were also held to share innovations and develop long-term district visions.
Nationwide Participation
The campaign spanned states like Uttar Pradesh (75 districts), Madhya Pradesh (55 districts), Rajasthan (50 districts), and Bihar (38 districts), among others. Chief Ministers, Union Ministers, Chief Secretaries, and District Collectors actively participated, ensuring the campaign’s success. Citizens attended camps enthusiastically across tehsils, panchayats, and districts.
Good Governance Week Events
As part of the Good Governance Week, the National Workshop on Good Governance Practices was held on December 23, 2024, at Dr. Ambedkar International Center, New Delhi. On December 25, Sushasan Diwas was celebrated, with Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, presiding as the Chief Guest.
The campaign received extensive coverage with 1,720 PIB statements and 6,118 social media posts, benefitting millions of Indian citizens.
This grand initiative, bringing governance closer to the people, marks a significant step towards empowering rural communities and ensuring effective service delivery at the grassroots level.
