The official YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India has reportedly been hacked, showing videos related to XRP, a cryptocurrency created by Ripple Labs, a US-based company.
Hackers have seemingly set prior hearings to private and uploaded a video titled “Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds To The SEC’s $2 Billion Fine! XRP PRICE PREDICTION,” which is currently live on the channel.
Scams involving hacked YouTube channels are on the rise, particularly with cryptocurrency content. Ripple had previously sued YouTube for failing to prevent scammers from impersonating its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse. According to reports, scammers have hijacked legitimate YouTube accounts, some with substantial follower bases, to promote fraudulent XRP giveaways.
Supreme Court officials have confirmed that the matter is under investigation.
