Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar: 76 Lakh Participants Nationwide

The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, launched on 17th September 2025, has recorded massive participation across India, benefitting millions of women, children, and families. As of 20th September 2025, over 2.83 lakh health camps, including screening and specialty camps, have been organized nationwide, reaching more than 76 lakh citizens.

Comprehensive Health Services

The Abhiyaan has provided extensive health services, including:

  • Hypertension & Diabetes Screening: Over 37 lakh screened for hypertension and 35 lakh for diabetes.
  • Cancer Screening: More than 9 lakh women screened for breast cancer, 4.7 lakh for cervical cancer, and 16 lakh for oral cancer.
  • Maternal & Child Health: Over 18 lakh antenatal check-ups conducted, 51 lakh children vaccinated.
  • Anaemia & Nutrition: 15 lakh citizens screened for anaemia with nutrition counseling reaching thousands of families.
  • TB & Sickle Cell Screening: 22 lakh screened for TB and 2.3 lakh for Sickle Cell Disease.
  • Blood Donation & PM-JAY: 1.6 lakh blood donors registered and 4.7 lakh new Ayushman/PM-JAY cards issued.

Nationwide Network of Health Camps

The campaign is supported by NHM health camps, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, AIIMS, Institutes of National Importance, tertiary hospitals, medical colleges, and private institutions. Collectively, 3,410 screening and specialty camps organized by central institutes and private organizations have served more than 5.8 lakh citizens.

Regional Highlights

The Abhiyaan has made an impact across states and UTs:

  • Delhi: Mega health camps at Safdarjung Hospital, CGHS RK Puram, and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs offering TB, NCD, mental health, and maternal screenings.
  • Gujarat: Camps in Dahod, Kutch, and Navsari provided cancer screening and NCD care to over 42,000 women.
  • Jammu & Kashmir: Srinagar and RS Pura camps saw large community participation under Sewa Pakhwada.
  • Northeast: From Arunachal Pradesh to Manipur, remote tribal communities received free check-ups and awareness drives.
  • Goa & Maharashtra: PHCs and Panchayats conducted rallies, screenings, and blood donation drives.
  • Bihar & Uttar Pradesh: District hospitals and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs offered NCD screenings and maternal health services.
  • Ladakh: Camps in Lingshed village provided general consultations, cataract screening, and menstrual hygiene sessions.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has commended the dedication of healthcare workers, state governments, local bodies, and community organizations driving the success of this campaign. The Abhiyaan will continue until 2nd October 2025, aiming to ensure “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” – healthy women, empowered families, and a resilient nation.
