TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee has been suspended from the Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 following an incident on October 22, 2024. During a heated argument with BJP MPs, Banerjee allegedly smashed a glass water bottle. The altercation reportedly took place between Banerjee and BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay, escalating to the point where Banerjee threw the bottle in anger.
