Even political figures couldn’t resist. Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi shared a screenshot of Musk’s tweet criticizing Trump, captioned: “SOS: call for ceasefire !!”
Others joined in with fake news-style memes: “PM Modi takes credit for ceasefire between Elon & Trump. Both deny any involvement.” One even dragged Ukraine’s Zelenskyy into it: “Zelensky demands ceasefire between Trump and Elon.”
Background to the Feud
Tensions escalated after Musk resigned from his role as DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) chief, a key Trump-appointed position. Their relationship took a hit just days after hosting a joint press conference at the White House.
Musk later called Trump’s new economic proposal “a disgusting abomination,” sparking more hostility. Trump expressed disappointment, while Musk claimed he was instrumental in Trump’s electoral victory.
In a bold accusation, Musk posted on ‘X‘: “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files.” Trump replied on Truth Social, mocking Biden for not ending Musk’s subsidies.
