Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah recently met with librarians from both trust-run and government libraries in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Highlighting the critical role libraries play in shaping the nation’s future, Shah underscored the importance of increasing readership and enhancing library resources.

In addition, Amit Shah inaugurated a new 15 MW waste-to-energy facility set up by Jindal Urban Waste Management near Piplaj village in Ahmedabad. Built at a cost of ₹375 crore, this plant can process 1,000 metric tonnes of waste daily, converting it into electricity. This facility is expected to significantly enhance waste management and contribute to meeting Ahmedabad’s energy demands.
