India 2025 Calendar Highlights a Decade of Progress

RR Team, January 15, 2025July 8, 2025

New Delhi, January 15, 2025 — Marking 11 years of good governance, the Government of India Calendar 2025 was launched with the theme “Janbhagidari se Jankalyan” (Public Welfare through Public Participation). The calendar reflects the nation’s inclusive journey and showcases achievements through the power of collective effort.

A Celebration of Participatory Governance

Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, who holds portfolios in Information & Broadcasting, Railways, and Electronics & IT, released the calendar at Rail Bhawan. He was joined by Dr. L. Murugan, Secretary Shri Sanjay Jaju, PIB’s Shri Dhirendra Ojha, and CBC’s Shri Yogesh Baweja.

“This calendar is more than a datebook,” Vaishnaw said. “It’s a mirror of India’s progress and the strength of its citizens.”

Monthly Themes That Reflect India’s Journey

The calendar, designed by the Central Bureau of Communication, celebrates programs like Swachh Bharat and Ayushman Bharat, using visual storytelling to illustrate the role of public engagement. Each quarter has been curated with powerful themes:

  • Jan–Apr: Agriculture, women empowerment (शक्ति रूपेण संस्थिता), and youth growth.
  • May–Aug: Infrastructure, wellness (Exercise is the Surest Recipe for Wellness), and cleanliness.
  • Sep–Nov: Entrepreneurship (उद्यमेन हि सिध्यन्ति कार्याणि), Unity Day, and tribal pride (Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas).
  • Dec: Technology with a human touch, echoing “अपरिमितं भव्यम्” (Limitless Possibilities).

Multilingual and Pan-India Reach

The calendar has been printed in 13 Indian languages and is being distributed widely, reaching gram panchayats, public institutions, and remote communities. It acts as both a functional item and an educational tool, encouraging citizen participation in India’s progress.

For instance, it motivates local bodies to organize Swachh Bharat drives and schools to engage in Janjatiya heritage programs during relevant months.

Janbhagidari: The Heart of Governance

The calendar reinforces the idea that governance is most effective when the people are involved. It highlights how public initiatives flourish only when citizens contribute wholeheartedly—whether it’s farmers adopting smart agriculture or youths using digital platforms for learning.

With the slogan “सर्वेषां मङ्गलं भूयात्” (Welfare for All), the calendar resonates with India’s vision of self-reliance and inclusivity.

Looking Ahead with Optimism

The final pages carry a forward-looking message—India is not just transforming its systems, it’s redefining what governance means. From paperless offices to AI-powered schemes, the 2025 calendar looks ahead with hope and confidence.

This annual publication has transformed into a visual mission statement of the government. It encourages every Indian to be a part of change and ensures that no one is left behind.

Conclusion

India’s 2025 calendar is more than dates—it’s a story of people. It highlights how transformative governance can succeed only through Janbhagidari. As we step into another year, the message is clear: the future is collective, and it begins with participation.
