Union Budget Provisions for Assam
Smt. Khadse also highlighted key provisions of the Union Budget that are relevant to Assam and the wider North Eastern Region. She noted that enhanced allocations for infrastructure, livelihood generation and social services are designed to strengthen the development ecosystem.
Emphasising the importance of convergence among schemes, she called for improved coordination between departments to avoid duplication and ensure efficient use of resources.
Appreciation for District Administration
The Union MoS appreciated the Hojai district administration for maintaining steady progress in project execution and achieving targets under several flagship schemes. She commended the efforts made towards timely completion of works and adherence to implementation timelines.
The meeting was attended by District Commissioner Shri Bidyut Bilash Bhagwati and senior officials from line departments, who provided detailed presentations on sectoral performance and upcoming plans.
