UPSC Prelims Result 2025 Expected Today: Direct Link, Cut-Offs, and Next Steps

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to declare the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam Result 2025 today, June 11. Candidates who appeared in the exam on May 25, 2025, can access the result on upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.

This result marks a critical milestone for thousands of aspirants vying for top bureaucratic posts such as IAS, IPS, IFS, and other Group A services in India.

1. Visit the official website – upsc.gov.in.

2. Click on the link titled “UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2025 PDF”.

4. Search your roll number using Ctrl + F.

📝 Note: Only roll numbers of qualified candidates are mentioned; names or marks are not disclosed at this stage.

🧾 What Happens After the Prelims?

Candidates who qualify the Prelims must fill DAF-I (Detailed Application Form-I). It includes:

Service preferences (IAS, IPS, IFS, etc.)

Educational qualifications

Personal background details

The UPSC Mains 2025 is tentatively scheduled for August 2025, spanning 9 descriptive papers over several days.

📊 Cut-Off and Marks Disclosure

The cut-off marks and individual scores will not be disclosed until after the entire recruitment process concludes, post-interview stage.

Previous years’ cut-offs can help candidates assess their performance, but official figures will only be shared later on the UPSC site.

👨‍💼 How Many Posts in UPSC CSE 2025?

This year, UPSC has notified 979 vacancies, including:

IAS – ~180

IPS – 150

Other Services – IFS, IRS, IRTS, IAAS, etc.

These numbers follow cadre management norms and are based on annual manpower planning.

⚙️ UPSC CSE: The Three-Stage Process

1. Preliminary Exam (Objective-type)

2. Main Exam (Written descriptive papers)

3. Interview/Personality Test

Only those who clear all three stages will find a place in the final merit list and be allocated to their respective services.
