Veer Gatha 5.0: Super-100 Winners Honoured

New Delhi, January 24, 2026: The fifth edition of Veer Gatha marked a milestone in patriotic education, blending creativity with national pride and global participation.

Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth and Minister of State for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Shri Jayant Chaudhary on Friday felicitated the Super-100 winners of Veer Gatha 5.0 at a special ceremony held in New Delhi. The initiative, aimed at instilling values of courage, sacrifice and patriotism among students, witnessed unprecedented participation this year.The Veer Gatha project, conducted as part of Republic Day celebrations, achieved a historic feat by making its international debut. As many as 28,005 foreign students from CBSE schools abroad participated, reflecting India’s growing global educational outreach and the universal appeal of its stories of valour.

Girls Shine Among Super-100 Winners

Out of the 100 Super-100 awardees, 64 were girl students from different parts of the country, underlining the growing role of young women in shaping India’s future. Each winner received a cash prize of ₹10,000, a medal, and a certificate in recognition of their outstanding performance.

These students have also been invited as special guests to witness the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path on January 26, 2026, offering them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a national celebration.

‘Brand Ambassadors of Viksit Bharat 2047’

Addressing the young achievers, Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth congratulated them for their creativity and deep sense of patriotism. He stated that initiatives like Veer Gatha ensure that future generations remember and honour the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and gallantry award winners.

Calling the students “Brand Ambassadors of Viksit Bharat 2047,” he highlighted the participation of more than 1.92 crore students in the fifth edition of the programme. He said the initiative successfully integrates education with national values, recognising bravery through the power of storytelling and art.

Education Minister Highlights Record Participation

Minister of State Shri Jayant Chaudhary emphasised that Veer Gatha plays a crucial role in nurturing creativity while educating students about the courage and sacrifices of India’s bravehearts. He noted that students from over two lakh schools participated in the competition.

International participants from countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Malaysia took part in activities including drawing, painting, essay writing and short video creation. Their contributions reflected heartfelt tributes to India’s heroes and showcased the programme’s expanding global footprint.

Inspiration from Armed Forces and National Heroes

During the event, Shaurya and Veer Chakra awardee Group Captain Manish Arora shared his experiences from Operation Sindoor, urging students to uphold the spirit of ‘Nation First’. He encouraged them to cultivate courage, discipline and a strong sense of purpose in their lives.

The ceremony was attended by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, and several senior officials from the defence and education ministries, highlighting the importance of the initiative at the highest levels.
