
Vijayawada Utsav and Kanak Durga Temple

On September 24, Shri Radhakrishnan began his visit with darshan at the Kanak Durga Temple in Vijayawada, offering prayers for the nation’s prosperity and well-being. Later, he attended the Vijayawada Utsav 2025 at Punnamy Ghat as the Chief Guest.
During his address, the Vice-President highlighted Navratri as a celebration of feminine divinity and women empowerment. He commended Andhra Pradesh for its cultural richness and recognized the state’s achievements in agriculture, information technology, innovation, and inclusive development. Shri Radhakrishnan also expressed gratitude for the warmth and hospitality of Vijayawada’s citizens.
Tirumala Visit and Inauguration of Venkatadri Nilayam
On September 25, the Vice-President visited the sacred Tirumala Temple and had darshan of Lord Venkateswara, praying for the welfare of all citizens. He then inaugurated the newly constructed Pilgrim Amenities Centre (PAC) “Venkatadri Nilayam” at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, ministers, and senior officials.
The five-storied facility is designed to serve thousands of devotees visiting the shrine daily. Each floor contains six spacious halls, while the inaugurated level houses four dormitories and two Bal Mundan halls. The building features 600 lockers for safe custody of devotees’ belongings, ten lifts, and six staircases to ensure smooth movement.
The basement includes a Prashadam Hall accommodating approximately 500 devotees, and a medical centre with a doctor, pharmacy, and four beds. The inauguration of Venkatadri Nilayam signifies TTD’s dedication to combining spiritual sanctity with modern infrastructure and convenience for pilgrims.
Padmavathi Temple Visit
Before concluding his visit, Shri Radhakrishnan offered prayers at the revered Padmavathi Temple in Tiruchanoor, seeking blessings for peace and prosperity across the nation.
