As part of the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0, Minister of Women & Child Development visited the Ministry’s offices at Jeevan Vihar and Jeevan Tara on October 16, 2025, to review cleanliness initiatives, community care programs, and institutional care enhancement measures. This visit underscores the Ministry’s continued commitment to Swachhata, Good Governance, and efficient administration.
Implementation Phase of Special Campaign 5.0
The Ministry of Women and Child Development, along with all its autonomous bodies, has rolled out action plans from October 2 to October 31, 2025, focusing on cleanliness and the timely disposal of pending references. The initiative aligns with the objectives of Special Campaigns conducted over the past four years to strengthen institutional processes and public service delivery.
Minister’s Office Visit
During her visit, the WCD Minister emphasized the importance of hygiene standards, citizen engagement, and proactive participation by all officers and officials. She reviewed the ongoing on-ground efforts and encouraged staff to expedite disposal of pending matters, including references from Members of Parliament, State Governments, inter-ministerial communications, parliamentary questions, PMO references, and public grievances.
Focus on Governance and Efficiency
The Minister also highlighted the need for strengthening record management systems, improving office functionality, and maintaining the spirit of Swachhata and Good Governance. Officers were instructed to prioritize the closure and weeding of files to ensure smooth administrative operations and enhance overall institutional efficiency.

Special Campaign 5.0 not only addresses internal office cleanliness but also promotes broader community care initiatives. By combining administrative efficiency with social responsibility, the Ministry aims to set a benchmark for effective governance and public service, reinforcing citizen trust and institutional accountability.
