Yoga Portal Crosses 50,000 Registrations, Boosting India’s Wellness Drive
Rajasthan Tops with Over 11,000 Group Signups for Yoga Sangam 2025
In a significant stride towards promoting holistic well-being, Yoga Sangam 2025—part of the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY)—has crossed 50,000 organisation registrations nationwide. The event, scheduled for 21st June 2025 from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM, is set to become one of the largest collective yoga movements in the world.
Rajasthan has emerged as the top-performing state, with over 11,000 organisations confirming participation. Following closely are Telangana with 7,000+ registrations and Madhya Pradesh with nearly 5,000 organisations ready to join the movement.
A Nationwide Wellness Movement Takes Shape
The overarching theme of this year—“Yoga for One Earth, One Health”—resonates globally, advocating a unified approach to physical, mental, and planetary wellness. This message has struck a chord across sectors.
Major institutions like IITs, IIMs, Central Universities, and even private corporates have actively registered, reinforcing yoga’s relevance across professional and academic circles.
“The spirit of yoga unites every Indian. It’s heartening to see thousands of organisations coming together in the pursuit of better health,” said a senior Ministry of Ayush official.
What Is Yoga Sangam 2025?
Yoga Sangam is an initiative by the Ministry of Ayush to decentralize and democratize yoga practice. Instead of a single central event, organisations host sessions locally while staying connected through a shared portal.
The dedicated portal—yoga.ayush.gov.in/yoga-sangam—enables institutions to register, host, and receive participation certificates digitally.

A Record-Breaking Moment for India
With more than 1 lakh yoga locations anticipated, this year’s celebration could become a historic marker in India’s public health narrative. From rural schools and small businesses to tech parks and NGOs, participation is truly pan-India.
🧘♂️ “Let us move together, breathe together, and thrive together,” invites the Ministry of Ayush.
Why It Matters: Wellness Beyond Borders
India’s leadership in wellness is being recognised globally. The decentralised celebration aligns with international goals like UN SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). Yoga, once considered an ancient art, is now a modern necessity.
Evidence from global studies also supports yoga’s role in reducing stress, improving flexibility, and enhancing mental clarity. Events like Yoga Sangam help embed these benefits into everyday life.
Conclusion: Join the Global Call
Yoga Sangam 2025 is not just an event. It’s a reflection of India’s ancient wisdom serving modern wellness. As June 21 approaches, this is your moment to be part of something larger—a healthier India and a healthier planet.
