Badalta Bharat: Citizens Share Change Stories

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), Government of India, has announced the winners of the nationwide ‘Badalta Bharat Mera Anubhav’ creative challenges, a citizen-driven initiative celebrating India’s transformation over the last 11 years.

Organised in collaboration with MyGov, the campaign encouraged people from all walks
of life to share personal experiences and creative expressions reflecting the country’s
developmental journey under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, the campaign witnessed
enthusiastic participation across age groups, regions, and professional backgrounds.
Through reels, short videos, blogs, and audio-visual stories, citizens showcased how
governance reforms, infrastructure growth, digital empowerment, and welfare delivery
have reshaped everyday lives across India.

Celebrating Citizen Voices and Creative Expression

The ‘Badalta Bharat Mera Anubhav’ initiative aimed to amplify the voices of citizens by
giving them a platform to narrate their lived experiences of change. From rural connectivity and digital inclusion to entrepreneurship and social welfare, the entries reflected the breadth of India’s development story.

Officials from the Ministry noted that the campaign not only encouraged creative
storytelling but also strengthened public engagement in nation-building. The diverse
formats allowed participants to express their perspectives authentically, reinforcing
the idea that India’s transformation is best told by its people.

Instagram Reel Contest Winners

In the Instagram Reel Contest, Indrajeet Subodh Mashankar secured the first prize,
followed by Manjari V Mahajan in second place and Mishti Lohare in third. Seven consolation prizes were awarded to Mohammad Hazim Rather, Anubhawi Sinha, Ayushman Barmaiya, Sidharth M, Kartik Bhatnagar, Aishwarya Kumavat, and Atish Mohapatra.

These entries creatively captured short yet impactful narratives highlighting India’s
evolving social and economic landscape through engaging visual storytelling.

YouTube Shorts Challenge Winners

The YouTube Shorts Challenge saw Manthan Rohit claim the top spot, with Jr Tube Channel winning second prize and Lekha Chetan Kothari securing third place. Consolation prizes were awarded to Soumita Dutta, Haimanti Mete, Dinesh Chotia, Divya Bishnoi, Tapesh, Sidharth M, and Dinesh Kumar.

Participants used short-form video storytelling to highlight development initiatives, personal milestones, and community-level changes witnessed over the past decade.

Short AV Challenge: Story of New India

In the Short AV Challenge – Story of New India, Sushovan Manna emerged as the
first prize winner, followed by Pappe Som and Ravi Parihar in second and third place respectively. Consolation prizes went to Dinesh Chotia and Sidharth M.

These audio-visual narratives presented compelling snapshots of India’s growth,
blending visuals, sound, and storytelling to reflect the spirit of a changing nation.

Blog Writing Contest Winners

The Blog Writing Contest recognised long-form storytelling, with Krishna Gupta winning the first prize. Sinjini Chatterjee and Brinda Somani secured second and third places respectively. Consolation prizes were awarded to Noopur Joshi, Trisha Singh Baghel, Minakshi Bhansali, Vishwanath Klair, Nandani Bhawsar, Sriram Ganesh, and Apoorva.

These blogs offered thoughtful reflections on governance, social change, and personal
empowerment, presenting a nuanced picture of India’s developmental journey.

Strengthening the Vision of Viksit Bharat

Congratulating all winners and participants, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting acknowledged the overwhelming response to the campaign. The Ministry encouraged
citizens to continue their creative engagement and contribute actively to the vision
of a developed and inclusive India.

By placing citizens at the centre of storytelling, ‘Badalta Bharat Mera Anubhav’ has reinforced the idea that India’s progress is a shared journey one shaped by collective
effort, innovation, and aspiration.
