Preparatory Review and Government Endorsement
The campaign aligns with the Government of India’s vision to promote administrative efficiency, cleanliness, and sustainable practices. On 1st October 2025, the Secretary (Coal) held a follow-up review via video conference, appreciating BCCL’s roadmap and urging PSUs to adopt innovative, replicable practices.
Key Initiatives Under Special Campaign 5.0
- Inter-Area and HQ Cleanliness Competition: Offices across all Areas and Headquarters will compete, with top performers felicitated by the CMD.
- ‘Nukkad Natak’ Awareness Drives: Street plays in prominent intersections of Dhanbad will raise public awareness on cleanliness and civic responsibility.
- ‘Waste to Wealth’ Projects: Area-level projects will convert waste materials into useful products, promoting sustainability and circular economy practices.
- Redistribution of Functional Electronics: PCs, UPS units, and printers will be refurbished and donated to schools and community centres, supporting education and local communities.
- School Awareness Sessions: Children across Dhanbad will participate in educational sessions promoting hygiene, clean habits, and civic responsibility.
Focus on Community and Sustainable Development
Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal emphasized proactive participation from all areas and departments to maximize the campaign’s impact. BCCL aims to ensure visible outcomes while fostering community engagement, social responsibility, and environmentally sustainable practices across its operational zones.
The Ministry of Coal and its PSUs reaffirmed their commitment to the campaign, highlighting measurable results, inclusive participation, and innovative solutions that can be replicated nationwide.
