Coal Ministry Gears Up for Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024

RR Team, September 13, 2024September 13, 2024

In alignment with the Government of India’s vision, the Ministry of Coal, in collaboration with Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries, NLCIL, CCO, and CMPFO, is gearing up to launch the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2024. This year’s campaign, aimed at promoting cleanliness and fostering community participation (Jan Bhagidari), will feature impactful activities across the country.

The Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024 will officially kick off from September 14 to 16, 2024, under the theme Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata. To mark the beginning of the campaign, the Ministry will hold an office-wide Swachhata Pledge, followed by the installation of banners, standees, and digital displays in prominent locations to raise awareness and encourage public involvement.

The Ministry will also leverage social media platforms to extend the campaign’s reach and inspire broader community action.

Campaign Highlights:

Launch Date: September 17, 2024
The Ministry of Coal will launch the campaign to host 1,000 events across coal-bearing states, engaging more than 10 lakh participants in various cleanliness and community activities.

Key Activities Planned:
Plantation and Cleanliness Drives:
Under the theme, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam the Ministry, in partnership with CIL and its Public Sector Units (PSUs), will conduct large-scale tree-planting and cleanliness activities across the nation.

Sampoorna Swachhata Drive:
Massive cleanliness drives will focus on public assets such as water bodies, roads, and railway stations. Public contributions through Shramdaan (voluntary labor) will be encouraged, further fostering community engagement.

Through the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024, the Ministry of Coal aims to make a lasting impact on environmental sustainability and community spaces. The campaign reflects the government’s vision for a cleaner, greener India and reinforces the importance of cleanliness and public participation in shaping a healthier future.
