E-Waste Awareness and Management
As part of the campaign, an E-Waste Awareness and Reduction webinar chaired by Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, DoSEL, was conducted on 9th October 2025. This was followed by a nationwide E-waste Management Campaign under the aegis of Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE, covering over 1,000 schools in Assam, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Chandigarh.
More than 99,692 students participated in 83 workshops across 989 schools, raising awareness about responsible disposal of electronic waste. A total of 3,937 kg of E-waste was collected, promoting sustainability and mindful consumption.
Institutionalising Cleanliness and Efficiency
Special Campaign 5.0 focused on strengthening efficiency in governance by reviewing pending matters, digitising records, and removing obsolete files. These efforts fostered a culture of transparency, orderliness, and administrative responsiveness in government offices.
Schools across States and Union Territories underwent visible transformation with large-scale cleanliness drives, whitewashing, painting, and repair works. Upgraded sanitation, electrical systems, and clean drinking water facilities contributed to safer learning environments.
Beautification and Student Engagement
Creative initiatives, including murals, wall art, BaLA (Building as Learning Aid) features, and cultural motifs like Madhubani and Warli, enhanced educational spaces. At National Bal Bhavan, an innovative installation made from scrap materials reflected sustainability and creative reuse, symbolizing students’ commitment to a greener future.
The campaign successfully engaged students, teachers, and communities, reaffirming the Ministry of Education’s commitment to clean, efficient, and environmentally responsible schools nationwide.
