1,522 Mandis Integrated Across India
As of the end of January 2026, a total of 1,522 mandis have been integrated with the e-NAM platform across 23 states and four union territories. This wide integration has strengthened inter-mandi trade and reduced dependence on local middlemen.
Farmers can now view nearby e-NAM mandis within a 100-kilometre radius, along with prevailing prices and route maps, allowing them to choose markets that offer better returns for their produce.
Rising Trade Volumes Over Three Years
Data shared by the government shows a consistent rise in the volume of agricultural produce traded through e-NAM over the last three financial years. Total trade volume increased from 1.85 crore metric tonnes in 2022–23 to 2.04 crore metric tonnes in 2024–25.
States such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana have recorded significant trading volumes, reflecting increased adoption of the platform by farmers and traders.
Support for Diverse Agricultural Commodities
In addition to weight-based commodities, the e-NAM platform has also facilitated the trade of number-based agricultural products. Over the last three years, more than 32.27 crore units of items such as bamboo, betel leaves, coconut, lemon, and sweet corn were traded digitally.
This diversification has helped farmers dealing in horticulture and plantation crops gain access to wider markets and fair pricing.
Key Features Strengthening Farmer Confidence
The e-NAM platform offers a range of farmer-friendly services, including real-time price information, quality assaying, and infrastructure support for cleaning, grading, sorting, and packaging of agricultural produce.
The integrated e-payment system ensures timely payments directly to farmers, reducing delays and improving trust in digital transactions.
Digital Access and Capacity Building
Facilities such as online farmer registration, farm-gate trading, direct participation of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), and integration with AGMARKNET have significantly improved transparency and efficiency.
The e-NAM application is available on both web and mobile platforms in multiple Indian languages, supported by a toll-free helpline number (1800-270-0224) to resolve user issues.
Training and Outreach Efforts
To enhance adoption, two training programmes are conducted annually for all e-NAM mandis, targeting farmers, traders, and other stakeholders. Tutorial videos and awareness content are also disseminated through social media platforms.
These initiatives aim to ensure that farmers, particularly smallholders, can effectively use the digital marketplace to improve their incomes.
