New Skill Centre for Agri-Entrepreneurs
The newly inaugurated Skill Centre at CCS NIAM focuses on training youth in agri-business management, warehouse operations, value chain development, and digital agriculture. It aims to build a robust, market-ready workforce in the rural economy.
During the event, Shri Chaudhary also felicitated warehouse workers certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme. Conducted with wDRa, the programme validates practical experience of warehouse assayers and enhances formal employment prospects in agri-logistics.
Empowering Youth with Flexible Career Paths
Addressing faculty and students, the Minister emphasized, “With India rolling out the world’s largest food grain storage plan, it is vital to position skilling as a first choice for youth—empowering them with flexible, market-ready career paths.”
He praised the Centre’s focus on real-world training and sectoral partnerships, calling it a model for future-ready education.
Honouring Legacy Through Climate Action
In a powerful tribute to farmer leader and former Prime Minister Shri Chaudhary Charan Singh, the Minister planted a sapling at the Krishi Udyamita Upvan on campus. He also launched the second phase of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Parivarik Vaniki Mission from Nevta Gram Panchayat in Jaipur Rural.
The campaign is part of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations and aims to plant 1.25 crore trees by 2027. More than 1 lakh saplings were planted across 500+ locations in Rajasthan on a single day, supported by teachers, students, and Gram Panchayats.
Combining Skilling and Sustainability
Minister Chaudhary described the effort as a blend of environmental action and legacy-building. “This is not just about planting trees. It is about reviving the self-reliance vision of Chaudhary Charan Singh and connecting it to climate responsibility,” he said.
Each sapling is being geo-tagged for tracking. Awareness drives and community-based monitoring are also part of the initiative, ensuring long-term ecological impact and citizen ownership.
Inclusive Participation and Policy Support
The plantation mission is led by the Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh Shekhawat, which pledged to plant 10 lakh saplings this year. Local leaders including former UP Agriculture Minister Shri Lal Chand Kataria, MPs, MLAs, and grassroots workers participated in the day-long event.
Later, at a public meeting, Shri Chaudhary urged citizens to uphold Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji’s ideals through collective environmental responsibility and youth empowerment.
Way Forward
India’s push for skilling in agriculture, combined with green missions like Smriti Vans, reflects a holistic development model. The government’s focus is not just on jobs, but on creating sustainable, community-driven ecosystems.
