Mann Ki Baat: PM Highlights AI, Organ Donation

RR Team, February 22, 2026February 22, 2026

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 131st episode of Mann Ki Baat aired on Sunday, highlighted India’s growing global leadership in Artificial Intelligence, praised inspiring organ donation stories, lauded farmers’ innovation, and urged citizens to remain vigilant against digital fraud.

AI Summit Showcases India’s Capabilities

Referring to the recently held Global AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, the Prime Minister described it as a turning point in how the world will use Artificial Intelligence in the future. Leaders, innovators, startup founders, and global tech CEOs participated in the event.

He mentioned two exhibits that particularly impressed global delegates. One showcased how AI is helping dairy farmers monitor animal health round the clock. The second demonstrated how ancient Indian manuscripts are being digitised, enhanced for readability, converted into machine-readable text, and even narrated by AI avatars.

The Prime Minister said India also launched three Made-in-India AI models during the summit, reflecting the country’s technological self-reliance.

Indian-Origin Cricketers Shine Globally

Speaking about the ongoing T-20 World Cup, PM Modi highlighted the achievements of players of Indian origin representing countries like Canada, the United States, Oman, and others. He said such players remain connected to their roots while contributing wholeheartedly to their adopted nations.

He described this as a hallmark of “Indianness” — maintaining emotional ties with the motherland while serving one’s karmabhoomi with dedication.

Tribute to Youngest Organ Donor

The Prime Minister paid emotional tribute to Aalin Sherin Abraham, a 10-month-old girl from Kerala whose parents chose to donate her organs after her passing. He said their decision reflected extraordinary courage and compassion.

He also shared stories of transplant recipients who rebuilt their lives — including individuals who completed difficult treks after heart and lung transplants. He noted that awareness around organ donation is steadily increasing in India, strengthening medical research and saving lives.

Rajaji Statue at Rashtrapati Bhavan

PM Modi informed listeners that a statue of C. Rajagopalachari, India’s first Governor-General, will be unveiled at Rashtrapati Bhavan during “Rajaji Utsav.” The move replaces colonial-era symbols and aligns with the nation’s commitment to shedding remnants of colonial mentality.

An exhibition dedicated to Rajagopalachari’s life and contributions will also be organised, encouraging citizens to reconnect with national icons.

Warning Against Digital Fraud

The Prime Minister once again cautioned citizens against “digital arrest” scams and financial fraud. He stressed the importance of completing KYC and re-KYC only through official banking channels.

He advised people not to share OTPs, Aadhaar numbers, or banking details with unknown callers. Referring to the Reserve Bank of India’s Financial Literacy Week, he urged citizens to stay informed and vigilant.

Farmers Embrace Innovation

Highlighting agricultural success stories, PM Modi praised farmers blending tradition with technology. He cited an Odisha farmer who integrated fish farming, fruit cultivation, and vegetable production to increase income and conserve resources.

He also spoke about efforts in Kerala’s Thrissur district to preserve hundreds of rice varieties, reinforcing India’s position as the world’s largest rice producer.

Festivals and Exam Motivation

The Prime Minister extended greetings for Ramzan and upcoming Holi celebrations, encouraging citizens to adopt Swadeshi products during festivals.

Addressing students appearing for exams, he reminded them that their worth is not defined by mark sheets. He urged them to stay confident, communicate with parents and teachers, and approach exams with a positive mindset.

Tribute to Jayalalithaa

On the eve of her birth anniversary, PM Modi paid homage to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, praising her commitment to women’s welfare, law and order, and good governance. He recalled personal interactions and acknowledged her enduring influence in Tamil Nadu.
