Mera Yuva Bharat 2.0: Empowering India’s Youth Digitally

RR Team, November 1, 2025November 1, 2025
Ekta Nagar, Gujarat: As India marches toward the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Government’s Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) platform has become the driving force behind digital youth empowerment. With over 2 crore youth and 1.2 lakh organisations connected through a single digital ecosystem, MY Bharat 2.0 is transforming the energy of India’s young citizens into leadership, learning, and nation-building.

A Digital Engine for Youth-led Growth

Launched on October 31, 2023, marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Mera Yuva Bharat embodies the spirit of unity and youth leadership. Designed as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, it offers a digital platform for volunteering, skill-building, and civic engagement aligning with the National Youth Policy and the principles of “Yuva Shakti se Jan Bhagidari.”

MY Bharat’s mission is to transform India’s demographic strength into a national movement for development. By connecting government initiatives, private organisations, and civil society, it allows youth aged 15–29 to participate in meaningful projects across sectors such as health, environment, education, and innovation.

The Power of Digital India: MY Bharat Ecosystem

Built within the Digital India framework, the MY Bharat Portal (mybharat.gov.in) serves as a central hub where youth can register, volunteer, and track their impact through real-time dashboards. As of October 2025, the platform has created over 14.5 lakh volunteering opportunities and engaged more than 60,000 institutional partners, including NGOs, educational institutions, and corporate entities like Reliance.

To make engagement mobile-first, the MY Bharat Mobile App was launched on October 1, 2025. It offers AI-driven chatbots, voice-assisted navigation, and Smart CV Builder tools to help youth access verified digital credentials and career pathways. Currently, the app hosts 1.81 crore registered users with multilingual support.

MY Bharat 2.0: Building the Next-Gen Youth Network

The upgraded MY Bharat 2.0 introduces advanced digital modules that go beyond registration to foster mentorship, experiential learning, and employment opportunities. New features include:

  • National Career Service Integration: Employment linkages and career counselling.
  • Mentorship Hub: Connecting youth with industry experts and innovators.
  • Experiential Learning Programs (ELPs): District and state-level assignments promoting civic responsibility.
  • Fit India Integration: Campaigns for holistic health and well-being.

Through partnerships with Digital India Corporation (MeitY) and the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL), MY Bharat will train over one lakh youth leaders, integrating AI tools, Smart CV builders, and multilingual modules to enhance accessibility and inclusivity.

Reaching Every Corner: Phygital Model and CSC Partnership

To ensure no young Indian is left behind, MY Bharat has partnered with the Common Service Centres (CSC) network under MeitY. Through five lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs, the platform provides digital access to youth in rural and tribal districts. This “phygital” model (physical + digital) ensures participation across every region of India.

Youth in Action: Stories of Transformation

From the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 to the Nasha Mukt Yuva campaign in Varanasi, MY Bharat has turned digital participation into social action. Youth have led awareness drives, policy dialogues, and community projects, showcasing how digital empowerment translates into real-world impact. The National Flag Quiz and Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue further nurtured patriotism and innovation among India’s youth.

Towards Viksit Bharat 2047

In less than two years, MY Bharat has become India’s largest digital youth platform — a living example of technology-enabled nation-building. The road ahead focuses on expanding AI-based skill mapping, entrepreneurship support, and global youth networks. As India moves closer to its 2047 vision, MY Bharat stands as a digital bridge between aspiration and achievement, empowering the youth to lead India’s transformation story.
