NeSDA Report: 24,563 e-Services Across States

RR Team, February 17, 2026February 18, 2026
India’s digital governance journey has taken another significant step forward with the release of the 33rd edition of the NeSDA Way Forward Monthly Report for States and Union Territories. Issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the January 2026 report reveals that a total of 24,563 e-services are now being delivered across the country.
The report underscores steady expansion in digital service delivery, with over 81 percent saturation achieved for mandatory e-services across States and UTs.

24,563 e-Services Delivered Nationwide

According to the NeSDA January 2026 report, 24,563 e-services are currently operational across States and Union Territories. The highest concentration of services  8,846  falls under the ‘Local Governance & Utility Services’ sector, reflecting the emphasis on citizen-centric delivery at grassroots levels.

Since the previous edition, States and UTs have collectively added 473 new e-services. This expansion demonstrates continuous efforts to strengthen digital governance infrastructure and improve accessibility.

The figures are based on data uploaded by States and UTs on the NeSDA Way Forward dashboard as of January 31, 2026.

Over 81% Saturation of Mandatory Services

Out of 2,124 mandatory e-services identified under the NeSDA framework (59 services across 36 States and UTs), 1,735 are currently available online. This translates to over 81 percent saturation nationwide.

Thirteen States and UTs — Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand — have achieved 100 percent saturation of the 59 mandatory e-services.

Additionally, eight States and UTs, including Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Telangana, Tripura and Punjab, have crossed the 90 percent saturation mark.

Unified Portals Leading the Way

The report highlights several Unified Service Delivery Portals that have achieved 100 percent service coverage. These include Sewa Setu (Assam), e-UNNAT (Jammu & Kashmir), Seva Sindhu (Karnataka), Odisha One (Odisha), MP e-Service (Madhya Pradesh), Apuni Sarkar (Uttarakhand) and e-Sevanam (Kerala).

Other portals delivering over 90 percent of services include e-District Chandigarh, e-District Delhi, Saral Haryana and e-Mitra Rajasthan.

Such portals have streamlined service access by integrating multiple departmental services under a single digital interface, reducing procedural delays and improving transparency.

Municipal Innovation and Best Practices

Recognising that a majority of citizen interactions occur at the municipal level, the January edition includes a special chapter on city-level digital platforms. It showcases best practices from the Vijayawada Municipal Portal and initiatives from Telangana.

These municipal innovations illustrate how local bodies are leveraging digital platforms to improve grievance redressal, civic service requests and urban governance efficiency.

The report also references central government platforms such as Bhavishya and ICEGATE as examples of comprehensive digital service delivery models.

AAKLAN Assessment Insights

This edition of the NeSDA Way Forward report provides parameter-wise insights under the AAKLAN assessment framework. The evaluation covers four key parameters for State and UT Unified Portals, helping benchmark service quality and accessibility.

The assessment mechanism encourages continuous improvement by measuring service availability, integration, user experience and responsiveness.

The full report can be accessed via the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances website (https://darpg.gov.in) and through the official NeSDA dashboard.
