Padma Awards 2026: Full List of Recipients Announced by President Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu will confer the prestigious Padma Awards 2026 to 131 individuals, recognizing exceptional contributions in fields ranging from art, social work, public affairs, science, literature, medicine, sports, and civil service. The awards, announced on Republic Day, include 5 Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri, with 19 women, six foreign nationals, and 16 posthumous awardees among the honorees.

Padma Vibhushan 2026 (5 Recipients)

  • Shri Dharmendra Singh Deol (Posthumous) – Art, Maharashtra
  • Shri K T Thomas – Public Affairs, Kerala
  • Ms. N Rajam – Art, Uttar Pradesh
  • Shri P Narayanan – Literature and Education, Kerala
  • Shri V S Achuthanandhan (Posthumous) – Public Affairs, Kerala

Padma Bhushan 2026 (13 Recipients)

  • Ms. Alka Yagnik – Art, Maharashtra
  • Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari – Public Affairs, Uttarakhand
  • Shri Kallipatti Ramasamy Palaniswamy – Medicine, Tamil Nadu
  • Shri Mammootty – Art, Kerala
  • Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu – Medicine, USA
  • Shri Piyush Pandey (Posthumous) – Art, Maharashtra
  • Shri S K M Maeilanandhan – Social Work, Tamil Nadu
  • Shri Shatavadhani R Ganesh – Art, Karnataka
  • Shri Shibu Soren (Posthumous) – Public Affairs, Jharkhand
  • Shri Uday Kotak – Trade and Industry, Maharashtra
  • Shri V K Malhotra (Posthumous) – Public Affairs, Delhi
  • Shri Vellappally Natesan – Public Affairs, Kerala
  • Shri Vijay Amritraj – Sports, USA

Padma Shri 2026 (113 Recipients)

The Padma Shri list recognizes contributions across a wide spectrum including science, art, medicine, sports, literature, social work, civil service, and other disciplines. Notable recipients include Shri A E Muthunayagam (Science, Kerala), Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur Bhullar (Sports, Punjab), Prof. Lars-Christian Koch (Art, Germany), and Ms. Liudmila Viktorovna Khokhlova (Literature, Russia). The complete list spans multiple states and international awardees.

These awards will be presented at ceremonial functions at Rashtrapati Bhawan, typically held around March or April, celebrating individuals who have made a remarkable impact in their respective domains.
