Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 14th Rojgar Mela today via video conferencing, distributing over 71,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in government departments and organizations. The event, which connected 45 locations across India, marked a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to youth employment.
Rojgar Mela in Arunachal Pradesh
In Arunachal Pradesh, 258 candidates received their appointment letters during a ceremony held at the ITBP NE Frontier Headquarters, Khating Hills, Itanagar. Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, personally handed over letters to 25 candidates, including 35 women among the total recipients.
The newly appointed recruits will join various government ministries and departments, including the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, Indian Postal Department, Indian Railways, and Sashastra Seema Bal, among others.
PM Modi’s Address
In his address, the Prime Minister shared his recent interactions with Indian youth and professionals during a visit to Kuwait. Reflecting on the coincidence of addressing the nation’s youth upon his return, he said, “Today marks a new beginning for thousands of youths across the country. Years of hard work and dreams have borne fruit. This outgoing year of 2024 is bringing new happiness to you. My heartfelt congratulations to you and your families.”
He also emphasized the government’s dedication to empowering the youth by creating employment opportunities and fostering a supportive ecosystem for career growth.

Shri Kiren Rijiju expressed his delight in distributing the appointment letters, highlighting the government’s efforts in building infrastructure and providing opportunities for self-reliance.
