PM Modi Condoles Passing of Assam Tribune’s PG Baruah

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep grief over the passing of Shri P. G. Baruah Ji, Editor and Managing Director of The Assam Tribune Group, remembering him as a distinguished media professional and a passionate advocate of Assam’s progress.

The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences through a post on social media platform X, paying tribute to Shri Baruah’s lifelong contribution to journalism and public discourse in the Northeast and across the country.Shri Baruah’s demise has been widely mourned by the media fraternity, political leaders and readers who regarded him as a torchbearer of ethical journalism and regional representation.

Prime Minister’s Message of Condolence

In his message, Prime Minister Modi said he was saddened by the passing away of Shri P. G. Baruah Ji and acknowledged his lasting impact on India’s media landscape.
