Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Buenos Aires for a landmark two-day state visit, aimed at expanding India-Argentina ties across sectors like agriculture, critical minerals, energy, and investment.
First Bilateral Visit in Over Five Decades
Touching down on July 4, 2025, PM Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome at Ezeiza International Airport. This visit marks the first bilateral trip by an Indian Prime Minister to Argentina in 57 years, and his second overall, the first being during the 2018 G20 Summit.
Modi’s visit is the third leg of his five-nation diplomatic tour, following Trinidad & Tobago and Ghana. Next, he will head to Brazil for the BRICS Summit and later to Namibia.
Talks with President Javier Milei
During his stay, PM Modi will hold wide-ranging talks with President Javier Milei. The agenda includes deepening cooperation in sectors such as:
