Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh on April 11, in a day marked by a deep commitment to development, culture, and public welfare. His visit will begin in Varanasi, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of significant infrastructure and social welfare projects worth over ₹3,880 crore. Later in the day, he will travel to Madhya Pradesh for a spiritual visit to the revered Guru Ji Maharaj Temple in Isagarh and will also address a gathering at Anandpur Dham.
In Varanasi, the Prime Minister will address the public and unveil a host of development initiatives that focus on essential areas like road connectivity, electricity, education, and tourism. In keeping with his vision of transforming urban infrastructure, the Prime Minister will launch projects that include flyovers, road bridges, and a highway underpass near Varanasi International Airport. He will also dedicate new electricity transmission substations across several districts to bolster the power supply network in the region.
With a strong emphasis on education and community welfare, the Prime Minister will inaugurate new colleges, rural libraries, Anganwadi centres, and school renovation projects. His visit also reflects care for those who serve the nation, as he will inaugurate new facilities for police personnel and lay the foundation stone for additional infrastructure to support them.
A key highlight of the visit will be the recognition of local culture and craftsmanship. The Prime Minister will present Geographical Indication (GI) certificates to various traditional products from the region, such as tabla, thandai, tiranga barfi, and local artwork—an encouraging step to preserve and promote indigenous knowledge and skills. He will also hand over Ayushman Vay Vandana cards to senior citizens above 70 years of age, ensuring they receive much-needed health benefits.
In a show of support for farmers and dairy workers, the Prime Minister will transfer over ₹105 crore in bonuses to milk suppliers linked to Banas Dairy. Additionally, infrastructure for artisans under the MSME Unity Mall, solar energy projects, community halls, and park beautification are among the numerous people-focused initiatives that he will launch.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will reach Anandpur Dham in Madhya Pradesh, a spiritual centre with deep-rooted philanthropic values. At the Guru Ji Maharaj Temple, he will perform darshan and pooja, and tour the temple complex. The Anandpur Dham Trust, which manages the site, is engaged in spiritual, agricultural, and humanitarian services, including operating a charitable hospital and running schools for local communities.
The Prime Minister’s visit reflects not only a commitment to physical infrastructure and economic upliftment but also a genuine connection to India’s spiritual and cultural ethos.
