President Murmu Highlights Integration of Vedic Knowledge and Science
Haridwar, Uttarakhand: President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, graced the second convocation ceremony of the University of Patanjali in Haridwar on November 2, 2025. In her address, she underlined the importance of blending India’s ancient Vedic wisdom with modern scientific thought to build a harmonious and sustainable global future.
Reviving the Spirit of Maharishi Patanjali
The President paid tribute to Maharishi Patanjali, describing him as a guiding light who purified the human mind through yoga, refined speech through grammar, and strengthened the body through Ayurveda. She expressed happiness that the University of Patanjali is working to make this great legacy accessible to society in a modern context.

President Murmu lauded the university’s India-centric educational model, which integrates ancient Vedic knowledge with modern scientific research. She said that such education instills the spirit of universal brotherhood and equips students to face global challenges with confidence and compassion.
“Education inspired by our civilizational values can guide humanity toward balance between material progress and spiritual growth,” she remarked.

She noted, “When individuals live with righteousness, families flourish, societies prosper, and the nation advances. Nation-building begins with individual character.”
