PM Modi’s Message on Parkash Utsav
In his message posted on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said the nation bows in reverence to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on his sacred Parkash Utsav. He described the Guru as an embodiment of bravery, empathy, and sacrifice, whose teachings urge people to uphold justice and righteousness even in the face of adversity.
“His life and teachings inspire us to stand for truth, justice, righteousness and to protect human dignity. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s vision continues to guide generations towards service and selfless duty,” the Prime Minister said, underlining the enduring moral and spiritual influence of the Sikh Guru.
Remembering a Visionary Spiritual Leader
Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, born in 1666 in Patna Sahib, holds a unique place in Indian history and spiritual tradition. As the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, he played a decisive role in shaping the Sikh identity and strengthening the foundations of a just and fearless society. His establishment of the Khalsa in 1699 emphasized equality, discipline, and unwavering commitment to righteousness.
The Prime Minister’s tribute recalled how Guru Gobind Singh Ji dedicated his entire life to the service of humanity. Through his teachings, writings, and personal example, the Guru urged people to rise above fear, injustice, and oppression, while remaining rooted in compassion and ethical conduct.
Recollection of Visit to Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib
Along with his message, Prime Minister Modi also shared memories from his visit earlier this year to Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, one of the five sacred Takhts of Sikhism and the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He recalled offering prayers and having darshan of the holy Jore Sahib associated with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
