Tensions escalated after Musk resigned from his role as DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) chief, a key Trump-appointed position. Their relationship took a hit just days after hosting a joint press conference at the White House.
Musk later called Trump’s new economic proposal “a disgusting abomination,” sparking more hostility. Trump expressed disappointment, while Musk claimed he was instrumental in Trump’s electoral victory.
