UGC NET June 2024 Qualifying Marks:
To pass the UGC NET June 2024 exam, candidates must meet the following minimum scores:
Unreserved category: 40% marks.
Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS): 35% marks.
In Paper 1, unreserved candidates need to score at least 40 out of 100, while reserved candidates need 35 out of 100. For Paper 2, the required scores vary:
Unreserved: 70-75 out of 200.
OBC/EWS: 65-70 marks.
SC: 60-65 marks.
ST: 55-60 marks.
UGC NET June 2024 Reservation Policy:
SC: 15% of seats are reserved.
ST: 7.5% reservation.
OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer): 27% of seats.
General-EWS: 10% of seats.
PwD (Persons with Disabilities): 5% of seats across all categories for candidates with at least 40% disability.
Normalization Process:
For exams conducted in multiple shifts, NTA will use a normalization process to ensure fairness. Raw marks will be converted into NTA scores (percentiles) for each session, and the lowest percentile among shifts will determine the cut-off for that category.
