Vice-President Inspires Chittorgarh Cadets

RR Team, June 5, 2025June 6, 2025

In an inspiring interaction with students of Sainik School, Chittorgarh, the Vice-President of India shared heartfelt memories and important messages on patriotism, education, women empowerment, and India’s global rise.

Calling himself a “proud Chittorian,” the Vice-President recalled his days at Sainik School, saying that while he was born in Kithana, Jhunjhunu, his “real birth” took place in Sainik School, Chittorgarh, which taught him values, discipline, and a deep sense of belonging.

He urged students to take pride in their school and its history, reminding them of Chittorgarh’s legacy with icons like Maharana Pratap, Rana Sangha, and Rani Padmini, who continue to inspire generations.

Celebrating India’s Civilisational Strength

He emphasized India’s civilizational strength of over 5,000 years and said that no other nation could compare. He proudly stated that India is not a country that was “born in 1947,” but one that has always been culturally rich and spiritually deep.

Highlighting the importance of Sainik Schools, the Vice-President said they offer life-changing opportunities, especially to students from rural and semi-urban backgrounds. Referring to the Hindi proverb “गुदड़ी के लाल,” he explained that Sainik Schools nurture hidden gems.

Saluting Women Empowerment and PM Modi’s Leadership

One of the significant themes of his address was gender equality. He celebrated that Sainik Schools are now open to girls, breaking a historical male-only tradition. He proudly noted India’s progress where girls are now combat pilots, police officers, ISRO scientists (the “Rocket Women”), and part of the nation’s defense forces.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ensuring one-third reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies and applauded the establishment of India’s first all-girls Sainik School in Mathura.

On India’s Security and Global Message

The Vice-President also spoke about India’s strong stand against terrorism. Referring to recent counter-terror operations, he said India gave a “historic response” to terrorist groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, striking their hideouts deep inside Pakistan in Bahawalpur and Muridke. He praised India’s defense forces and stated, “Time to salute them — they have made the country proud.”

He assured the students that India’s rise is “unstoppable”, and we are no longer a country of untapped potential — our talent is being realized.

Encouraging Students to Dream Big

As students prepared to go for a football match, he reminded them that while winning or losing is part of the game, the spirit of sportsmanship is what truly matters. He encouraged them to build strong bonds and play with integrity.

Quoting Swami Vivekananda, the Vice-President said, “Arise, Awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.” He called Vivekananda a youth icon whose teachings still guide young minds.

Personal Note and Future Visit

He fondly recalled “Sanga House”, his dormitory at Sainik School, and shared his desire to visit it during his planned trip in 2025. He welcomed students to visit the Indian Parliament as his guests and promised to remain connected with the school.

The Vice-President concluded by telling students to never feel less capable, saying, “No one drops from the sky — we all have the power to rise.” He advised them to stay confident, manage their time wisely, and never fear failure, as it is the stepping stone to success.
