Yoga Sangam 2025: 30,000+ Groups Unite for June 21 Yoga Day

RR Team, June 4, 2025June 4, 2025

In a remarkable nationwide show of unity and wellness, over 30,000 organisations across India have registered to participate in Yoga Sangam 2025, the main event for the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) to be celebrated on 21st June 2025. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Ayush, has gained massive traction, highlighting yoga’s deep and growing impact across the country.

This year’s celebration continues with an exciting new feature: online tracking of yoga events nationwide through the Yoga Portal (yoga.ayush.gov.in/yoga-sangam). Organisations ranging from schools and colleges to Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), corporates, NGOs, and government institutions have enthusiastically registered to hold yoga events on the same day, creating a unified national movement toward holistic living.

What Makes Yoga Sangam 2025 Special?

Yoga Sangam 2025 represents not just another event but a growing movement of mindfulness, community health, and national integration. The theme for this year is “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, promoting harmony between humanity and the planet.

This initiative has turned into a true people’s movement, where participation cuts across regions, age groups, and professions. From the snow-clad terrains of Ladakh to the coastal shores of Kerala, and from school fields to university campuses, India is gearing up to breathe as one on 21st June 2025.

Academic and Institutional Support

Prominent institutions such as IITs, IIMs, and Central Universities have added momentum to the campaign. They are hosting large-scale yoga sessions, workshops, and wellness seminars. These prestigious campuses are showcasing yoga not just as a physical exercise, but as a tool for mental peace, emotional resilience, and leadership development among the youth.

How to Participate in Yoga Sangam 2025

Anyone can become a part of this nationwide celebration. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the Yoga Sangam Portal:
    yoga.ayush.gov.in/yoga-sangam

  2. Register Your Group or Organisation:
Whether you’re a school, club, office team, or community group, registration is open to all.

  3. Conduct a Yoga Session on June 21, 2025:
Host a yoga event in your area—be it a park, school yard, beach, or any open space.

  4. Upload Participation Details:
After the event, submit your photos and participant data to receive an official Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry.

Transforming India’s Public Spaces

On the day of celebration, over 1 lakh locations across India will turn into vibrant wellness zones—temples, railway stations, universities, gardens, office lawns, and more will echo with the rhythm of breathing and movement. These events aim to remind people that yoga is not just an ancient tradition but a modern-day necessity for balanced living.

A Message of Unity and Wellness

Yoga Sangam 2025 calls upon every Indian to take a collective breath and move together toward the vision of a “Swasth Bharat, Samruddh Bharat” (Healthy India, Prosperous India). As yoga continues to gain popularity across the globe, India is once again leading by example, demonstrating how ancient wisdom can be the foundation for modern wellness.

Let’s make Yoga Sangam 2025 not just the biggest yoga event of the year—but a moment of national unity, health, and pride.
